Windows 10 has very limited partitioning capabilities and will refuse to extend into a partition that is not immediately to the right of the partition, the best option would be to use a 3rd party utility like the free version of AOMEI Partition Assistant to Merge that unallocated space to another partition.
Step 1: Go to the Windows Search bar, type " Disk Management " and hit enter. Alternatively, you can also open Disk Management by using Run. Press the " Windows+R " key, and hit enter. Type " diskmgmt.msc " and hit enter again. Step 2: As you can see, when I right-click on the C drive, the ' Extend volume ' option is greyed out
Step 3. Right-click on C: system partition and choose to Extend Volume on the dropdown options. Step 4. Follow the Extend Volume Wizard instructions and select default options to merge the two partitions for Windows 10 successfully. Step 5.
The problem: You cannot extend C: over the free space, because it is not really free. That space is included in the extended partition (the green rectangle), so it is not considered as free outside of the extended partition. Move J: and K: left to the top of the extended partition so that the free space is at the end of the extended partition.
